 Women’s Way is the name of North Dakota’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program available to eligible North Dakota women.

  • In order to be eligible for the Women’s Way, you must meet age, income, and insurance guidelines. To program is available to women ages 18-64. You must be either underinsured or uninsured and certain income guidelines must be met. Additionally, you must be a resident of the United States for at least 30 days to be eligible for Women’s Way.
  • Women who are screened through Women’s Way and diagnosed with breast and/or cervical cancer can apply for full healthcare coverage through Medicaid, which covers the cost of breast and cervical cancer treatment.
  • For women ages 18-49 are eligible for free clinical breast exams, pap smears, and pelvic exams. Women ages 50-64 are eligible for mammograms, clinical breast exams, pap smears, and pelvic exams. Other medical tests are also available, including surgical consult and biopsy of the breast.
