Help is available to certain low-income residents of Indiana who cannot afford to buy health insurance.  Medicaid, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program and other programs offer frees or subsidized health insurance coverage, direct medical services and other help. In addition, the federal Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC) Program provides tax credits to early retirees and some workers who lose their jobs or whose work hours and wages are reduced as a result of increased imports.  This chapter provides summary information about these programs and contact information for further assistance.
