  • Arizona law limits how much small employers can be charged for health insurance. Within limits, premiums for small group health insurance policies can vary based on health status, family composition, geographic location, and other characteristics of those in your group. Even within these limits, however, premiums can be significantly higher of someone in your group has a serious health condition. If you have 51 or more eligible employees, there are no limits on premium variations. Contact the Arizona Department of Insurance if you have questions about your group health insurance premiums.
  • For small employers, Arizona places some limits on annual increases that can be charged.
